2017 D4TS Tourette Syndrome Scholarship Recipients

The 2017 Dollars 4 Tic Scholars Tourette Syndrome Scholarship  – $1000

Jared Termini

Awarded to Jared Allen Termini, Iowa City, Iowa

  • Jared graduated from West Senior High School and will be attending the University of Iowa in Iowa City, IA in the fall as a freshman. His major will be Aerospace Engineering/Robotics. Jared was diagnosed with Tourette Syndrome at age 11. He has excelled in Robotics and invention competitions, has served as a math tutor and mentor, and looks forward to doing research to create alternative fuel sources.

Annie Wyrick

Awarded to Annie Pauline Wyrick, Bayfield, CO

  • Annie is a graduate of Animas High School in Durango, CO. She will be attending the University of Colorado at Boulder as a freshman this fall with a major in Aerospace Engineering. Annie was diagnosed with Tourette Syndrome at age 10. She has interned at a space propulsion testing company and looks forward to working in the aerospace industry.

Mason Taylor

Awarded to Mason Christopher Taylor, Cincinnati, OH

  • Mason graduated from Sycamore High School. He will attend Belmont University, Nashville, TN in the fall as a freshman, and will be majoring in Commercial Music with Mandolin as principal instrument. Mason was diagnosed with Tourette Syndrome at age 6. He has performed in numerous high school and area theater performances, and teaches mandolin and guitar.

Thomas Licato

Awarded to Thomas Jeffrey Licato, South Plainfield, NJ

    • Thomas is a graduate of South Plainfield High School. He will be attending Temple University, South Plainfield, NJ as a freshman with a major in Music Therapy. His goal is to use music therapy to provide relief for others with TS, and to conduct research to find a course of treatment through music to treat TS. Thomas served as a National Youth Ambassador for Tourette Syndrome.

The 2016 Dollars 4 Tic Scholars Tourette Syndrome Scholarship Sponsored by Order of AHEPA Chapter 487 – $1000

Jason Ingerick

Awarded to Jason Bumbarger Ingerick, Arden, NC

  • Jason is a graduate of T.C. Roberson High School, Asheville, NC. He will be attending Northeastern University, Boston, MA as a freshman this fall with a major in Chemistry and a minor in Entrepreneurism. Jason plans to become a medicinal chemist. His goal is to develop and improve medicines to have fewer side effects to make it easier for others who have Tourette Syndrome and other medical conditions.
