Scott Anderson recently started a much-needed Boca Raton Support Group through the Tourette Association of Florida. The group meets once a month at the West Boca Raton Library. Scott and his wife Karen recently attended our D4TS Derby scholarship Fundraiser, shown here. We asked Scott to comment on the work of Dollars 4 Tic Scholars.
“I have Tourette Syndrome, and recently attended the Dollars 4 Tic Scholars annual event,” said Scott. “I was so impressed by this event and its organizers. I wish scholarships were available to great TS students when I was younger. I have a Bachelors and two Masters degrees and would have definitely applied for a scholarship from Dollars 4 Tic Scholars. I am also excited for the great future students with TS will have with the opportunities this organization offers, including the graduate degree scholarships that they are planning.”
“My wife, Karen, and I really enjoyed the annual fundraiser, and even won some raffle prizes, including a professional photo session for my family. The event was so creative and fun, I am already looking forward to the next one. I am confident Dollars 4 Tic Scholars will continue its success of spreading awareness and helping students affected by Tourette Syndrome.”
