Thank you for visiting as we prepare for our annual participation in Great Give Florida, a day of 24 hours of giving organized by United Way of Martin and Palm Beach Counties. For this year’s campaign, we are happy to share highlights about a few of our scholarship recipients, and how your dollars are helping. These  are real students, with real Tourette Syndrome, that are making a real mark for themselves as they navigate college and pursue their career dreams. Get to know our students, and THANK YOU for supporting Dollars 4 Tic Scholars scholarship fund during April 24, 2018, Great Give.

How is school going?
I am enjoying school and all is well.  It is very different than high school and more time consuming.

What did you learn about going to college that you didn’t expect?
College requires more forethought and preparation than I ever thought.

What do you love about what you are studying?
General classes are general classes, however, i truly enjoy my music and graphic art classes. My professors are preparing me with real world application and ministry opportunities.

Any highlights?
The successes that I have achieved these last two years have been amazing. I have made the Dean’s list the last three semesters.  I was invited to become a part of the National Society of Leadership and Success. I will be inducted next year.  My choir and I were invited to sing at Winter Jam with New Song and I was asked to be in a Zac Williams music video.

I am currently leading worship for our teens every Wednesday at church.

Why you are excited about your future?
I am very excited to see what future opportunities will be coming for me. I am truly blessed for the help that Dollars 4 Tic Scholars helped me to afford by going to school.  Tourette’s does not hold us back from achieving anything we can dream. I look forward for chances to share graphic design, music, and Jesus with the world around me.

We’re adding a student success story once per day all week – be sure to tune back in!
